♥ Vintage Halloween with Crafty Secrets ♥

Halloween is right around the corner! Love this time of year! Pumpkins...cornstalks...mums...cool weather...spooky silliness! Love it all! Today is extra fun for me, because today is Autumn decorating day in the Bove house! My mom will be here shortly to watch the little one and then I am out to but all my mums, pumpkins, cornstalks, etc! Love it! I just wish it was cooler here! It's still warm and muggy! But cooler weather in the 60's is in the future forecast! Yay! Here is how I decorated the front porch last year. I'm gonna do the same except this time, I'm gonna add a bale of hay near the door and a few little odds and ends I picked up recently! ;)

Speaking of Autumn and Halloween, there is a fabulous new Creating with Vintage Halloween CD shipping out tomorrow by Crafty Secrets! And honestly, I can truly say, it has, without a doubt, the cutest Halloween papers, ephemera, Bingo Cards and images I have ever seen! For only $17.99, you will have endless Halloween papers and images for ever! Just print them out whenever you need them!  And they are all adorable! Have I said that already??

I made this witch's hat using some of the papers, tags and images from the CD. Just love the assortment of patterns and colors!

My Witch Hat is going to be on the CD Packaging! I'm so excited!! You can read more about what's on the CD HERE!

I also made some fun, quick and super easy little Treat Bags using the CD as well! Look at all of those amazing papers! And that's just a sampling of what you get!!

I just adhered some papers, which I either die cut or used some decorative scissors, to some glassine bags. You can also use some plastic baggies or brown paper bags as well.

I simply attached an eyelet to the bottom piece of the paper and then tied some twine through it and around the bag to secure them shut. Easy Peasy! These will be perfect for my son's class at his Halloween party.

You can order the CD today right HERE and it will be going out in the mail tomorrow! Happy Halloween Crafting!!

I would love to enter these into the "An Early Boo" Challenge at the City Crafter Challenge Blog!

hugs...

♥ Inspired by Pinterest! {and Freckled Fawn!} ♥

Do you Pin? I do and let me tell you, it is addicting! So many fabulous things to inspire you on there! From decorating your home, throwing a wonderful party, baking a fabulous cake, putting an outfit together or even making a card! Pinterest is so much fun!

I was inspired to make a card using this gorgeous shabby chic photo I found on Pinterest. It inspires me in so many ways. Love the ribbon spools, colors, textures and of course the old shabby chic vintage goodness!

I am entering this card into the Pinterest Challenge on the I am Doe (Freckled Fawn) Blog! Love Freckled Fawn's Washi Tapes! The Rose tape is my all time fave Washi Tape! Such a gorgeous pattern! I adhered some of the tape onto some white cardstock and then ran it through my Cuttlebug with the My Favorite Things Chevron Stripes Die. I also used a piece of the tape as a dress on the Maya Road Chipboard Dress Form.

I also used some Prima Tea Thyme paper, PTI's Button Boutique Stamp Set and Buttons and Tag Dies, lace, mini wooden clothes pin, pearl stick pins and some Liquid Pearls.

Have a sweet day!

♥ Simon Says...Emboss it! ♥

Happy Hump Day! I hope you all are enjoying your week so far! Only a couple of days left until the weekend! woot! woot! But since today is Wednesday, that means it's a new challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Challenge Blog! This week we want to see Embossing on your cards! It can be either Heat or Dry Embossing or BOTH!

This week the Simon Says Stamp DT is featuring products by Stampendous! For my card I chose this new Cling Stamp by Stampendous called Butterfly Post. I first stamped it in some brown inks and then stamped it again onto another piece of cardstock. I cut the butterfly out of the second image and heat embossed it with some Aged Aqua Embossing Enamel by Stampendous. I love the pretty aqua color mixed with the gold. And to get a better effect with this embossing enamel, I heated it up from underneath.

I also used some beautiful papers by Prima from the new Tea Thyme 6x6 Paper Pack. These papers are so pretty and romantic. I also used a Heart Doily, Prima Typo Zipper, Prima Heart Crystal, seam binding and the "love" stamp is from the Exclusive Simon Says Stamp Set called Beautiful Words.

And, don't forget, Heidi will generously give the random winner of this challenge a $50 Credit Voucher to the Simon Says Stamp Superstore! Good luck everyone!
